Decentralized Upper Limb Rehabilitation
Deliver intensive and functional neurorehabilitation through the compact REAtouch® Lite device
The REAtouch® Lite rehabilitation device makes intensive functional brain rehabilitation more mobile in rehabilitation centres, thanks to its lighter configuration and ease of transport.
Intensive uni- and bimanual neurorehabilitation :
from the rehabilitation area up to the hospital room
Designed to strengthen neuroplasticity and optimize functional outcomes, REAtouch® Lite motivates patients to make more than 1,000 movements in one single session. This means 1,500 to 2,000 touchpoints or browsing more than 60 meters on the screen. Therapeutic gamification creates very high motor and cognitive engagement through continued motivational stimulation.
With more than 30 functional uni- and bimanual therapeutic video games, patients are highly engaged in their rehabilitation, which promotes neuroplasticity. Movements, tasks and game complexity auto-adapt in difficulty according to patient performance.
The screen’s reactive surface allows interaction with dedicated objects, bringing the functional dimension into the therapeutic experience. Patients can choose from a range of playful objects in multiple shapes for manipulation and construction tasks.
Every patient has a personalized profile with an avatar, shopping account and tailored personal goals to foster active therapy participation and promote progress.
Robust and easy to use
The 32” screen (73 x 41 cm) has a tangible user interface with up to 30 touchpoints, facilitating engaging touch and audio-visual interaction.
Uni- and bimanual therapy
The REAtouch® device can be used for both uni- and bimanual therapy.
For example, HABIT-ILE therapy, developed by Prof. Yannick Bleyenheuft
and his research team, provides intensive functional rehabilitation based on
the use of playful bimanual exercises. This method has been recognised by
the scientific community and health authorities thanks to several studies already carried out. It has been proven that combining REAtouch® with the HABIT-ILE method is just as effective as the method alone. This study proves that REAtouch® is capable of following neuro-rehabilitation recommendations. Interested in finding out more? Visit our page dedicated to the HABIT-ILE method.
Measurement and feedback
Five assessment apps record and analyze every patient movement, providing detailed and helpful performance information. Reports containing objective and comparable patient performance data can be easily downloaded at any time to review progress. A hemi-spatial neglect app has also been developed in collaboration with our academic partners.
